In my winter weight loss series I added three of my most favorite recipes to include in your daily diet to get the desired result without sacrificing upon the taste.
1.BLACK RICE SALAD- INGREDIENTS
1 bowl of boiled black rice, 1/2 bowl of boiled black chana(brown chick peas) Diced English cucumber, 1-2 pieces of pineapple, Long strips of red bell pepper, 2 roasted walnuts. METHOD Mix all the ingredients and put seasoning. Seasoning -In a mason jar put orange juice, lemon juice ,extra virgin olive oil, salt and black pepper and shake it . Key ingredients for weight loss: Black rice is considered a superfood as they are very high in antioxidants, protein, fiber and other essential vitamins and minerals as compared to other varieties and brown chick peas also high in protein in fiber which is again a very good option for weight loss
2.EGG FRITTATA METHOD Take 2 egg whites and 1 yolk. Whisk along with some milk and keep aside. Put 1 tsp of oil and sauté green diced onions, diced tomatoes sliced zucchini, button mushrooms and baby spinach.
Now add salt, black pepper, oregano and chili flakes. Pour the eggs and vegetables in microwaveable shallow dish and put it in the microwave for 3 minutes, you can check after 2 minutes. Your low calorie and tasty egg frrirata is ready.
You can also bake it at a 200°C preheated oven for 20 minutes. Key ingredients for weight loss- Eggs are incredibly nutritious as they are high in quality protein with all the essential amino acids in the right ratios. Moreover they are filling and tend to make you eat fewer calories and help you to lose weight.
3.ONE POT MEAL METHOD Put oil in a pan and add ginger and garlic. Now add mushrooms, red and yellow bell pepper, broccoli and chicken pieces or tofu. Sauté all the vegetables and put 1 glass of water and let it boil for 2 minutes. Add salt, black pepper, soy sauce, chili sauce and turn off the heat. PLATING-Take one bowl place boiled noodles in it and pour the above soup over it . Key ingredients for weight loss -One pot meal is considered ideal in winter as they are balanced meal with all the macro nutrients. Most importantly it is quick, soupy and a flavorful dish which can make you feel satisfied. Hence you can include in your weight loss regime.
I have added most of the winter vegetables in all the above recipes which are colorful, flavorful, highly nutritious and rich in antioxidants which makes all the dishes look prettier on a plate.
